World Horse Welfare is an international horse charity that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning and hands-on care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our rehabilitation and rehoming centre Belwade Farm in Aboyne for two full-time grooms. As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our specialists including vets, physios and farriers with support towards continued learning and personal development in the equine welfare sector.
We are looking for individuals who are willing and able to undertake normal daily yard duties as well as the responsibility for a dedicated list of horses undergoing rehabilitation. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in a professional yard and be competent and confident in handling a range of horses including youngsters. We would consider a trainee position for the right individual.
This is an ideal role if you would like to expand your practical experience in the world of equine rehabilitation to enhance an equine qualification.
These are full-time permanent positions working 40 hours per week. Weekend working will be necessary.
Free shared staff accommodation is offered and your ability to live in would be advantageous.
World Horse Welfare is committed to championing equality and diversity in all aspects of employment and in the services that it provides. We encourage applications from under-represented groups, particularly ethnically diverse communities, LGBTQ+ and disabled people.
If you would like to join us and help us achieve our vision which is a world where every horse is treated with respect, compassion and understanding whilst developing your own equine skills, then please apply using the link below.
