Say hello to Rascal!
Rascal is a 16-year-old, 11.1hh, grey, Welsh X, gelding who is ready to find his home as a non-ridden companion.
Rascal is looking for a home where he will get lots of cuddles and go on in-hand walks, as he loves exploring! He is a really sweet-natured boy and easy to do in most ways. In his new home, he would like time to settle in to get to know his new friends and have a consistent routine.
Rascal has a very chilled temperament and settles well within herds. He enjoys going on adventures and having one-on-one time with his handler.
Stabling/Shelter: Rascal lives out with access to a field shelter; he also stables well with a friend nearby and forage.
Companionship: Rascal loves relaxing with his field companions and enjoys being around his friends. He currently lives in an all-gelding herd.
Forage/Feed: Rascal currently lives out 24/7 with forage given when grazing becomes too sparse.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Rascal is currently barefoot and trimmed every 6-8weeks.
Dentist: Sedated as per Bransby Horses procedure every 6 months for regular dental work under sedation, Rascal has a lot of teeth missing as well as diastemas, so would also need X-rays every 18 months to monitor all of this and keep him happy and healthy.
Vet: Rascal is a good boy for the vet, but can be unsure of needles. Rascal has a known heart murmur due to diagnosed VSD, scoring 4 out of 6 on the left side and 5 out of 6 on the right side. This is monitored annually, usually when having vaccinations. Rascal can continue a happy, healthy life with his heart murmur causing him no problems day to day as he continues to enjoy being around his friends in the field!
