HAPPA Bailey-Mai Black Miniature Shetland Filly Born 2021 Companion pony
Bailey-Mai arrived at the centre in May 2021 with her mother, Daisy-Mai as part of a cross-agency transfer. Her mother was rescued from awful conditions with overgrown feet. Bailey-Mai was born whilst in the care of the RSPCA. Daisy-Mai sadly had to be PTS when Bailey-Mai was only 7 weeks old, due to her being in constant pain from her hooves caused by years of neglect.
Since being weaned at a very young age, Bailey-Mai has been raised by the staff at the centre and found a friend in HAPPA Cheesecake, a yearling welsh A gelding and then later HAPPA Bakewell, so that she learnt to be a horse. She took to life without her mother with ease, quickly picking up how to be led and was able to drink her milk replacement from a bucket and eat creep pellets. She has thrived and grown as she should. She has been socialised with a few different horses at a variety of ages.
Bailey-Mai enjoys attention but will let you know when she’s had enough. She is good to do in all ways, but can be cheeky! Because of this Bailey-Mai is looking for an experienced home, who can continue her education.
Bailey-Mai has no health issues or vices. She is up to date with worming, vaccination and farrier. Bailey-Mai is looking for a home with other small ponies or Shetland’s for company.
