Dennis is a 15.2hh Irish X Chestnut gelding, born 1998.
Dennis is a good doer and enjoys living out. He does have navicular so being stabled for long periods is not in his best interests. Dennis enjoys hand walking around the site 3-5 times a week to aid circulation and reduce stiffness, and is very well-behaved, although he can be strong so will need a calm and confident handler.
Dennis will need to live with friends, and has been living with 2 mares for the past year, and has been known to be unfriendly to geldings. Dennis has a handful of chaff with biotin supplement to keep his feet strong, glucosamine for his joints and hay has been given in winter when the grass is sparse.
Veterinary care: He has mild navicular but this is easily remedied with a plain shoe, otherwise he becomes footy on harder ground. Up to date with dentist, worming vaccinations and microchipped, otherwise seen when needed.
