Meet Sophie, a sweet-natured mare looking for her forever home as a non-ridden companion. Sophie is well-established in her basic handling and is good to catch, groom, pick out feet, and for both the vet and farrier.

Sophie is happiest living out 24/7 in a mixed herd and can stay alone for short periods once settled. She’s a good doer, so will need restricted or sparse grazing to maintain a healthy weight. She would suit a home with similar grazing management and plenty of hay piles to avoid food-related tension with other horses.

Although Sophie isn’t a ridden horse she will still make a lovely companion for another horse or pony.
