Location: Felledge Equine Centre, Chester Moor DH2 3BF
Salary: Circa. £18,000 per annum plus 4% shift allowance
Hours: Full time - 35

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Groom to join our team at the RSPCA Felledge Centre in County Durham on a permanent basis.
Our Centre carries out specialist rehabilitation work so that the horses and ponies in our care become trusting, well behaved and - where possible - able to be ridden, to give them the best chance of finding a new home with perfectly matched owners. As a Groom, your role is vital to provide care for Equines in the Centre and to contribute and support their rehabilitation.
We are looking for a Groom with the confidence to work with a wide range of horses and ponies, including youngsters and those with behavioural problems. You’ll have experience of breaking and schooling and the ability to ride to a high standard, as well as the ability to provide the daily care for all of the equines at the centre including general Yard duties. You must be able to ride ponies from 13hh.
