Horse Welfare Assistant Training and Riding (pony), Rolleston Horse Rehoming Unit, Permanent, Full Time

What is the role?

We have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for horse welfare to join our close-knit team at Rolleston as a Horse Welfare Assistant Training and Riding (pony).

Within this role, you will be responsible for rehabilitating various horses and ponies, many of which have had a bad start in life. These horses are in desperate need of our love and as a team, we work together to help rebuild their trust to best prepare them for finding a new home. This does not only include hands-on care, training and riding but also the advertising of the horses, appointments with potential new homes and much more!

Not the average groom role!

This is a permanent, full-time role working 42 hours per week on a locally agreed rota to include some weekends. Not only will you have set working hours, but other perks include -

• Set days off in a week, including weekend days!
• 30 days holiday entitlement per year (including public holidays). After one year’s service it increases by one day per year, up to 35 days (pro-rata as appropriate for part time workers)

Interviews will be held week commencing 18th July 2022 and will consist of a competency-based interview and a practical assessment.
