Full-time permanent positions
40 hours per week as per rota (to include weekends and support with one late evening site check a week)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and flexible individuals to join the Equine Centre Team at our Hainford site situated North of Norwich on a permanent contract.

Working under the supervision of the Equine Centre Manager and Team Leader you will help to provide a high standard of equine care.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team ensuring all horses have access to suitable water, feed, and shelter, that hygiene is maintained and that paddocks are checked and clean. They will carry out visual health checks and give medication as prescribed along with assisting in the catching and holding of nervous horses for the farrier and vet team. They will also complete night checks on-site as and when required.

This is a busy environment, and the ideal candidates should understand the importance of effective communication, observation and unified teamwork. They will need to liaise regularly with line management and will be able to follow instructions as well as use their own initiative.

Sound knowledge and proven working background of horse health and welfare is necessary, as is familiarity with Health and Safety Regulations

Salary £18,532.80 for over 18s’

In addition, we offer shift workers a premium pay rate on Sundays (time and a half) and Bank Holidays (double time).

A full clean manual driving licence is essential
