Horse Care Team Members, Norwich
Full-time permanent positions, 40 hours per week as per rota (to include weekends)
We currently have permanent full-time opportunities for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with experience in horse care to join our dedicated teams at our South and North of Norwich Equine Centres.
Working under the supervision of the Equine Centre Managers and Team Leaders you will work as part of a team ensuring that our horses have access to suitable water, feed and shelter, hygiene is maintained and paddocks are checked and clean. You will carry out visual health checks and give medication as prescribed along with assisting in the catching and holding of nervous horses for the farrier and vet team.
This is a busy environment and candidates should understand the importance of effective communication, observation, and unified teamwork. They will need to liaise regularly with line management and be able to follow instructions as well as use their own initiative.
Sound knowledge of horses and their welfare and proven background of working with horses is necessary, as is familiarity with Health and Safety Regulations.
Salary £19,760.00 for over 18s and £19,094.40 for under 18s. In addition, we offer shift workers a premium pay rate on Sundays (time and a half) and Bank Holidays (double time).
